WalkInTime privacy

Last updated 20 August 2026.

WalkInTime is a walking app. It helps you leave on time and arrive at a place you choose. It is made by Pascal Matthiesen.

What the app uses

Your location, while the app is open, to find you on the map, build a walking route, and measure how fast you are walking. During an active walk it may keep using location in the background so the pace coaching and Live Activity stay current.

Local notifications for the leave-by reminder you scheduled.

A Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island while a plan or walk is running. That display is handled by iOS on the device.

What we do not do

WalkInTime has no account. It does not upload your location, routes, or destination to a WalkInTime server. Search and walking directions are requested from Apple Maps on your device. We do not sell data. We do not use your location for ads or tracking across apps.

What stays on the phone

The current destination, route, and arrival time live in memory on your device for the session. We do not run a WalkInTime cloud database of your walks.

Apple

Map search and walking directions go to Apple. Apple’s privacy policy applies to those requests.
